Join us on June 16, 2026, from 3:00–4:00 PM ET, for a FABRIC webinar featuring an FPGA-based image processing experiment that explores a new, language-based approach to image analysis. In this session, the presenters will provide an overview of the experiment and explain how they are using regular expressions to encode image components such as eyes, noses, and faces for processing on an FPGA-based regular expression engine.

The webinar will also highlight how the experiment was co-developed across the Open Cloud Testbed (OCT) and evaluated on FABRIC. The presenters will discuss their workflow for creating the engine on OCT, transferring the binary, and running evaluations on FABRIC. Attendees can expect a user-led demonstration of the FPGA portion of the work, along with a discussion of the evaluation process on FABRIC.

Whether you are interested in FPGA-based experimentation, image processing, or learning how to evaluate a custom application on FABRIC, this session will offer a look at an emerging approach to research computing and testbed-based experimentation.

The webinar recording will be shared with all registrants following the event. Those interested can register here.
