FABRIC Team,
This is a feature request – for the EJFAT project we’d like to be able to programmatically LAG the two ports of the FPGA into a single logical 200Gbps port. I would imagine same feature may be useful for LAGging ports on other physical cards (ConnectX-5, ConnectX-6). I think the mode of use would not need to be dynamic – at least for our case we know ahead of time if we want to use the card in a LAG configuration or not, so it could be part of the request, not a modification. Network services would then be attached to the LAG rather than individual ports.
Happy to discuss more – not sure if this is feasible and I’m sure there are other priorities you all have, for us the feature like this would allow to push traffic to 200Gbps that goes through the FPGA-based load balancer.
