Availability of DPU-powered SmartNICs

Hi FABRIC Team,

I’m exploring options for experiments involving data processing units (DPUs) and wanted to ask whether any FABRIC sites currently provide access to DPU-powered SmartNICs, such as NVIDIA BlueField or similar hardware from other vendors.

If such resources are not currently available, are there any plans to support or integrate DPU-powered SmartNICs into the FABRIC in the near future?

Hi Plabon,

We’re in the process of procuring BlueField DPUs and are planning to integrate them into the FABRIC infrastructure. While the timeline isn’t finalized yet, we’re tentatively looking at Summer or Fall 2025. Stay tuned for updates!

We are in the process of procuring them. While they may not be available for the Summer release, we are targeting an incremental release or including them in the Fall 2025 release.

Any updates on the Bluefiled integration? I checked the Fall updates and it doesn’t mention any Bluefields!

We’re in the process of deploying them and are targeting DPU availability at KNIT11 around October 13–14.
