ELECTRICAL POWER WORK AT FABRIC-MASS
RENCI has been notified of electrical work occurring at the FABRIC-MASS site, starting today, Monday, May 23rd, 2022 at 3pm (US Eastern Time); all site power will be off during this work, which will continue into Tuesday, May 24th. All FABRIC-MASS services will be affected.
In order to prepare for this outage, RENCI staff will begin shutting down FABRIC-MASS hardware today at 12noon (US Eastern Time) today, Monday, May 23rd.
We anticipate restoration of FABRIC-MASS services no later than 12noon (US Eastern Time) on Wednesday,May 25th, 2022.
Monday, May 25th
– 12:00noon Begin FABRIC-MASS hardware shutdown
– 3:00PM FABRIC-MASS hardware shutdown completed
– 3:30PM UMASS begins datacenter shutdown
Tuesday, May 24th
– 3:00AM UMASS begins electrical work
– 9:00PM Anticipated UMASS electrical work completion
Wednesday, May 25th
– 12:00noon All FABRIC-MASS services restored no later than this time

UMASS has successfully completed their data center shutdown and started on their electrical work. No change to anticipated schedule.
UPDATE: Tuesday, May 24th @ 7:30pm (US Eastern Time)
UMASS has completed their electrical work and is preparing to begin restoration of power to their data center. No change to anticipated schedule.
