I am facing issues to SSH into my created VM slice.
here is the error:
fabric_keys % ssh -F ssh_config -i slice_key ubuntu@2605:2800:2011:201:f816:3eff:fe5e:c785
Warning: Permanently added ‘bastion.fabric-testbed.net’ (ED25519) to the list of known hosts.

ubuntu@2605:2800:2011:201:f816:3eff:fe5e:c785: Permission denied (publickey).
– The name: first_slice, UUID of the slice: d0a73ade-1687-4f03-af6b-f6c97fae05ea
– I newly got access to Fabric
Thank you in advance.
Hi, the “Permission denied (publickey)” error means your SSH key isn’t being accepted. Here are the most likely fixes:
1. Check key permissions:
chmod 600 slice_key
2. Verify you added the public key when creating the slice – this is the most common issue for new FABRIC users.
3. Try with verbose mode to see the exact issue:
ssh -vvv -F ssh_config -i slice_key ubuntu@2605:2800:2011:201:f816:3eff:fe5e:c785
4. Make sure your slice is fully active (status should be “Active” in the portal).
Hi Arash,
Thank you for your response and suggestions. I had all the points you suggested while creating the slice.
Seems the issue was somewhere else, while running the verbose the obvious message was “Key Mismatch on the Slice Node”.
I managed to get it work and the only thing I did differently this time was to clear all keys I had created before from jupyterhub and the portal and created new ones.
Appreciate your support.
