Home › Forums › FABRIC General Questions and Discussion › KANS nodes missing experiment interfaces
Dear FABRIC Team,
I hope you are doing well. I am seeing a network interface issue on some nodes at the KANS site in my slice:
Slice ID: 698e8e21-3926-451f-ad94-24ea5db4a822
Affected nodes: receiver5, receiver6, router3
On these nodes, I cannot see the experiment/data interface from within the node OS. For example, “ip -br link” shows only lo and a single enp3s0 (virtio). At the same time, I was able to reserve and configure the L2PTP tunnels involving router3 without any issue, and the interfaces appear in the slice notebook/topology view, but they do not appear inside the node terminal.
Could you please check whether the experiment NIC failed (or was lost) for these nodes, and advise how to recover it?
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
Fatih Berkay Sarpkaya
Hi Fatih,
The PCI devices had been disconnected from your VMs, but I’ve now re-attached them. You should be able to see them on your VM.
I’ll review the logs to determine what caused this. In the meantime, if you’re able to share any operations or actions triggered as part of your experiment, that would be very helpful in narrowing down the issue. Thanks so much for your help!
Best,
Komal
Hi Komal,
Thank you so much, that solved my problem.
I was not actively using this slice recently. I was only extending the slice duration, so I am not sure what may have triggered the issue.
Best regards,
