Home › Forums › FABRIC General Questions and Discussion › Network to GPU Hardware Support
Hi,
I was wondering if FABRIC has hardware available to us that will allow for direct transfer from the NIC to a GPU. I believe the ConnectX NICs allow for this but I am not sure if the networks support RDMA. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
I’m sure the hardware supports this. The trick might be in how to handle it in a VM with devices using PCI passthrough. I’m not sure anyone has tried this yet.
Do you know how to do this on a non-virtualized machine?
I have some ideas but I have not implemented this in practice. I believe NVIDIA GPUDirect should support VMs as long as PCI passthrough is supported.
