Hi,
I was not able to renew the slice. It was initially extended for 14 days, this is the second attempt for renewal.
Here’s the error I received:
Exception: Failed to submit slice: Status.FAILURE, None Thanks.
Hi,
Could you please share your slice id?
Thanks,
Komal
These are the two slices which are facing the same issue:
hydra_sites_nsdi_manual@1732067767
hydra_sites_nsdi_manual_dpdk@1732303511
Thanks for the help!
Please share the slice ID. Slice ID can be captured from the Portal as well as from JH.
Portal -> Experiments -> My Slices -> Copy the Slice ID.
Also, how are you renewing the slices – Portal or JH?
Thanks,
Komal
Oh sorry, here are the slide IDs:
b069e7f9-d6bb-43c0-ad7c-67e696e6b267

I am renewing via JH. The portal shows the slice is in ‘configuring’ state. It must have been in the same state since yesterday, when I issued the renewal from JH and had to restart the server after some time without the renewal completion. Since then, all of the attempts have logged the error I posted above.
Thanks.
Hi Sankalpa,
Both your slices were partially renewed. Each slice included a VM on STAR, where the renewal process was stuck.
We use a Kafka messaging bus, and there was a brief maintenance yesterday that impacted STAR. As a result, renewal messages were not processed because the Kafka consumer had stopped. I have resolved this issue, and all the slivers in your slices have been successfully renewed. Your slice is now in the StableOK state.
Thank you for reporting this and helping us identify and address the problem.
Best regards,
Komal
Komal,
Thanks, appreciate the help!

Sankalpa
