Dear experimenters,
We want to alert you to some changes that are coming to the FABRIC portal as part of Rel 1.4. Some of the interesting features include:
1. Personal profile page – you will be able to fill in some personal info about yourself and select which of this information you want to be publicly visible (i.e. to other FABRIC users).
2. Project profile page – similarly to personal profiles there will be an ability to control what information about your project is visible to other FABRIC experimenters.We would like to encourage you to fill out your project description information (and change project name, if appropriate) now – these are both important for others who may be looking at your project page in the portal, as well as for us – this is critically important for NSF reporting. Once Rel 1.4 is deployed we will post an announcement, you will be able to make further tweaks and then adjust the public visibility of various attributes of your information and your project information.
By default most basic information about you and your project will be made available to other FABRIC users as this way this information may be of most use to the community to enable creation of interesting collaborations. However we understand that in some cases you may decide to keep some of that information private and will provide appropriate controls for it.
