Receiving multicast frames on a NIC_Basic interface on an L2Bridge

This is probably related to the issue described in L2Bridge without MAC learning?:

• The expected behavior of an L2Bridge network is that every frame sent on the network (to any unicast, broadcast, or multicast destination MAC address) should be “visible” in tcpdump to every interface on the network.
• For unicast frames, we have the problem mentioned in L2Bridge without MAC learning?
• (new problem) For multicast frames, it seems they also are not “visible” in tcpdump on a NIC_Basic interface, unless I either subscribe to the multicast group, or use ip maddr add to attach the MAC address to the interface.

I’ve added this to the list of issues to look at w.r.t. other behaviors of SharedNICs. We have a ticket opened with NVidia/Mellanox trying to figure this out (the documentation seems to suggest it should work – we can’t figure out if it is a firmware bug or we are doing something wrong). Thanks for you patience.
