Testbed-wide maintenance June 12-16

Dear experimenters,

As we indicated earlier, starting Monday June 12 9AM ET FABRIC will undergo an extended maintenance window to make a number of critical updates to the infrastructure. All experimental activities will need to be halted by then, all slices stopped and removed. We expect the maintenance to be completed by the afternoon of Friday Jun 16 or sooner as we can.

We expect the following sites to be back up by Friday: UCSD, GPN, FIU, CLEM, GATECH, INDI, and CERN.

The remainder of the sites will be brought up over the following week and re-added one-by-one with additional announcements on this thread – please subscribe to the thread to receive them.

As part of this maintenance we will be making upgrades to the control software (rel 1.5), which will bring a number of highly-requested new features which will be documented on the release notes.
