Time: 3:00 PM – 4:15 PM ET

Join us on June 17, 2025 from 3:00 – 4:15 PM ET for “Introducing FABRIC’s Tofino P4 Hardware Switches for Networking Research and Beyond,” the next webinar in our Mastering FABRIC: Tips and Tricks Webinar series. This engaging session, led by Ganesh Chennimalai Sankaran and Cong Wang, will explore FABRIC’s Tofino P4 Hardware Switches for Networking Research and Beyond.
This webinar provides an introductory, hands-on overview of using Tofino-based P4 hardware switches within the FABRIC testbed for cutting-edge networking research. The session will walk through an example of connecting two nodes and explain the setup process for working with Tofino switches.
The session will also include a live demo, highlighting common challenges and troubleshooting steps. In addition, the session will showcase a real-world use case from an NSF CC* project, “Top Down Approach to Implementing Scientific Workflows in Transit using In-Network And Near-Network Resources”. You’ll gain practical insights into how programmable hardware can support innovative research and experiment design.
