      PLANNED POWER OUTAGE AT RENCI

      RENCI has received notice that our power company is planning work at a nearby substation, and that the building housing our datacenter will lose power for two hours tomorrow night.

      Due to the anticipated length of this outage, we will need to plan to shut down certain datacenter resources ahead of time. (All times denoted in the Eastern Timezone)

      – Start time of the planned power outage: 12:01 AM on Friday, April 29th
      – Stop time of the planned power outage: 2:00 AM on Friday, April 29th

      FABRIC services that will be affected

      – RENC rack will be offline (Thursday 10:00 PM)
      – FABRIC test rack will be offline (Thursday 3:00 PM)
      – FABRIC Portal (both beta and production) and associated services may be disrupted and should be considered to be offline (Friday 12:01 AM)
      – JupyterHub may lose access to storage and should be considered to be offline (Friday 12:01 AM)
